5 Secrets Most Successful People Share Part 4

This is Day 4 and If you’ve been following these blogs, you know that For the last few days I have been sharing certain secrets that most successful people have.

If you missed yesterday’s topic, you can find it by going to my blog at www.livinglifeblessed.com/Blog ...5 secrets Most Successful People Share.

Also, you can find more information on on Developing a Plan of Action from my FREE E Book Time Matters. But today I want to talk about:

The Power of Decision and Action

Studies have shown that one of the greatest causes of failure is lack of decision. Along with that, procrastination is the most common thing that holds people back from achieving their full potential.

Studies have also shown that successful people make a habit of making decisions promptly and then only changing them when necessary.

Decision-making is not just about the ability to do it promptly; it's also about having the correct information on which to base the decision.

You may need to rely on others for help or information, but base your decision on the most accurate facts possible. Once you feel you have those, take action.

I don’t know if you’ve ever heard the phrase “Paralysis of Analysis”…basically meaning, I have all of this information, I’ve analysed all his information, but I don’t know what decision to make. I become paralysed in my decision making.

When I was a beginning real estate investor, there were many times that I would look at a house that maybe needed a lot of work. I mean, the roof was in need of repair, the bathrooms, the kitchen needed updating or possibly just gutted and start all over. But, the numbers, how much it would cost and my return, were to close to make a quick and decisive decision.

As a beginning investor, I would be paralyzed in my decision making. The “What if’s” would take over.

What if this didn’t work out, what if this happened, What if I got in to the remodeling and I didn’t account for this repair?

But later on, as I gained more experience and knew more about the business, my gut would tell me, "This one will turn out good, even if the numbers didn’t always match up."

And I would write up the contract and proceed. I think, many successful people, have learned to look at the information that is readily available to them, ask for wisdom from others and then proceed with what they feel, what their gut is telling them and make A decision.

To many times, we become paralyzed with the information and we are to afraid to make a decision. Successful people are not always right, but they are decisive and passionate about the decision they make. And they Take Action!

Let me leave you with a scripture today. It’s found in

Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.

Best thing we can do, is Put our Trust in God, lean on Him and His Wisdom, and let him lead us into the right path He has for us. God wants to Bless us, as obedient Children. But it all starts with Trust in Him.

Don’t Forget, you can find more information on on Developing a Plan of Action from my FREE E Book Time Matters.
